FAQs

What are the consultation fees and booking options?

If it's a new problem, or you haven't seen Joel before (or not for over a year), you'll need an initial consultation — up to 45 minutes, $185.

Review consultations are up to 30 minutes and suit returning patients, even if it's been 6–12 months — $145.

Not sure which you need? Book an initial slot and email Joel at joellaing01@gmail.com — he'll adjust it if less time is needed.

We have HICAPS and can process private health rebates on the spot. EPC (care plan) referrals are also accepted — you pay the full fee and the Medicare rebate is processed on the spot via HICAPS using your referral.

Do I need a referral to see Joel?

No — most patients are referred, but it's not essential. You can book directly online.

Appointments are only showing 2–3 weeks out — is something wrong?

No, that's normal. Joel only consults Wednesday 5–8pm and Friday 3–6pm alongside his full-time role with Fire Rescue Victoria. Book the soonest slot and email to be added to the waitlist for cancellations.

Do you see WorkCover or TAC patients?

No — given limited appointment time and no reception support, these aren't accepted. Patients are welcome to book and pay privately.

Is there parking or public transport nearby?

Yes — parking is available near the clinic and in the carpark off Albion Rd. Glen Iris station is an 800m (10–15 min) walk.

Do you have a fax number for referrals or imaging reports?

No — please email these to joellaing01@gmail.com with a clear subject line.
